Alligator Creek Triathlon

My friend Michelle and I before the race, setting up our transition area

Can you find me? I'm in the pool somewhere. It was a serpentine swim, so you wound your way through the whole pool and swimmers started every 15 seconds, so I started about 9 minutes after the gun.
Getting started on the bike.

The Thomasons (Michelle's fam), the Trampes, and the Reitzes making posters -under Carla's direction- for Michelle and I near the transition area.  She's sure is a great cheerleader!

Carla videoed my finish too.

Michelle and I at the finish in our snazzy unitards.  Yikes. ;)

My cheering section: Berkley, Charlotte, and Rebecca Trampe.

This was so much fun. I can't get over how fun it was! Of course, it was only a sprint tri. We swam 300 yds, biked 18.6 miles, and ran 3.1.  The bike (and transitions) was my weakest point, but somehow I managed to get 2nd!  The weird part is that you have no idea what place you are in until everyone is done, since the start is so staggered. I rarely saw any women during the whole race.
Fun stuff though...
