Jason was away the Men's Retreat this weekend. I was determined to get some pictures though, even if it meant neglecting my littlest daughter, who, unfortunatly, is getting used to that at this point.
We had quite an Turnaround this weekend too.
Not this one. Still as expected: she's as aggressive as ever.
It's fun to watch her out there. Now we've got to work on passing and not taking the ball from her own teammates...
Now HERE's the ABOUT FACE:
If you don't know, Berkley has always loved soccer. She's loved running around with her friends; she's loved pulling the ball out of the goal after the other team scored (before they had goalies); she's loved playing defense and kicking those loose balls away from the other team every-so-often.
Now the kid that showed up on Saturday to play some soccer was a different Berkley altogether!
She was, dare I say, aggressive! She was all over the place -- playing forward, dribbling the ball up the field away from defenders (She likes to say she "played a trick" on the defenders. I like to say, "when did you learn to do that???"), cutting in, running so hard she turned red (doesn't usually happen for her during soccer), and she even almost scored! Pretty sure there was an assist in there.
Way to go, Berkley! That was fun. I mean, it's always fun. But that was FUN.
She'll have to do it again next weekend when daddy is around to see it. He doesn't believe me. (just kidding. He believes me, reluctantly.)
