I hope you didn't hold your breath, but the new spindles are finally in!
This project began in early November. First they gave us half of one spindle and half of another. And, of course, we didn't realize that until they were ALL hand-painted and over half were installed. Have no fear, the store said they would just order more of the ones we had already installed. But wait! Those were discontinued! So out came ALL the spindles. We bought new paint (the old paint was clumping) and a sprayer (which applied the paint smoother and faster) and started over, finally finishing in mid-January.
Jason wouldn't mind if he never saw a spindle again!
(They used to be the color of the railing, as was the trim.)
Charlotte's old enough to try basketball. She's in a basketball "camp" at Zion.
I think she likes it. :)
Brrrrrrrr!
This has been the coldest and probably snowiest winter we've ever experienced in Missouri! Frigid.
However, the kids have enjoyed playing in the snow. Even when the temperature is 0. (Not me.)
That's Berkley trying to help shovel the neighbor's walk.
And they made a tunnel with the neighbors that provided hours of fun.
The neighbors have certainly appreciated Jason and his snow-blower! One storm hit on a Sunday morning when Jason was already at church, and the neighbors came and shoveled our driveway and walk! So sweet. They figured he was a little busy...
Charlotte with Anna on top of the tunnel.
After lots of hot chocolate and some fort building, I think they finally warmed back up.
