Happy Birthday, Daddy...almost a month later...

Breakfast in bed
Whoever came up with the idea of breakfast in bed must have had a craftmatic adjustable bed, because it's just not feasible, logistically. Nice try though, ladies, nice try.
We tried to go skating in the afternoon, but Mommy was mistaken about what time the rink was open, so we went to the park instead.

(Show off.)

Daddy got some presents.  (Thanks Gramps!)

And some food.

Looks at that blazing inferno. There are 39 candles on that cake! Just wait until next year. The big 4-0 is destined to set the house on fire.

Evelyn slept over and the girls put on a little show.

Peg and Steve decided to come down for the weekend and caught the tail end of Jason's birthday party. How's that for a 39 year old birthday party?  A first grade sleepover, parents crashing, and playground time. Living large!

"Sleep" time for the sleepover girls.

And in the morning, we had Christmas #2 with Grandma and Grandpa (who came bearing the Schultz's gifts too!)

Thanks, G&G Reitz and Schultzes!

And we finally got to go skating the next day! (Mommy made sure it was open this time.)

Fun times. Evelyn and Hazel picked it up pretty quickly!

I don't know why it's so much fun to slide around and fall on cold, hard ice for an hour, but it is!

Happy birthday, Daddy and Happy New Year, world!
