November

UTAH
Jason and I escaped to Utah to visit friends. It was our first time back since we moved away 3 years ago.

So fun to see so many friends!
The Rees family

And the Schmeling family

And, of course, the McFarlands. Oh how we've missed you!

But our girls sure missed us back home. Wish we could have brought them along. Luckily, Grandma and Grandpa Reitz helped hold down the fort and ferry them to and from school.  Hard to leave them during school.
It was pretty sweet to see our oldest like this when we returned:

     One extreme to the other:
(Did you know it was possible to sleep like this? I didn't. Play hard. Sleep hard. And anywhere.)

Ready to help rake some leaves with Dad.

THANKSGIVING WITH THE KJENDALS

Dave, Cheryl, and the kids came to visit over Thanksgiving. It was so fun! Thanksgiving morning, the five Kjendals and Berkley and I ran a 5 K Gobble Wobble run.

Ready to run, even though it was pretty cold.

Dave finished 4th in his age group and gave me a run for my money.

Delaney came in 2nd in her age group - and was something like the 15th overall female!
Lily came in first in her age group.
Hunter lost his turkey hat somewhere along the way!!
Oh, there it is! Aunt Cheryl finished the race out with that turkey, oh, and Hunter's turkey hat too. ;)
Berkley came in 4th in her age group too! (Thanks, Aunt Cheryl, for running with her!)

From pilgrim to (risque?) Indian

We're thankful for delicious FOOD!
 And FAMILY

 And DESSERT

We (along with every other visiting family in the bi-state area) went up into the Arch after Thanksgiving.

 Looking down at the Mississippi

It wouldn't be a trip to St. Louis without Seamus burgers!

And a quick stop off in old town St. Charles before heading to the airport.
Thanks for coming, Kjendals! We had such a great Thanksgiving with you.
