To us, that's southern Michigan.
In mid-July, we headed up to visit Jason's family for a few days. It was a lot of fun to hang out and see everyone. It was also a wonderful break from the disgusting month-long heat and humidity in St. Louis. Also, Jason's nephew Craig graduated from high school this year and we wanted to celebrate with him, although we missed his party anyway! ha!
Enjoying Silver Beach in St. Joe.
Sand is so cool, especially when you've hardly ever felt it!
Uncle Danny and Aunt Sonya took us out in some small pond in their Pontoon! The kids LOVED that. Nice, laid-back, lazy fun. Just like the song, which happens to be Hazel's favorite, btw. I'll have to post a video of her dancing to it.
Playing in the pond water, which is as warm as a bath (I was told...)
Look who's driving this rig!!
And we headed back to Silver Beach during the daytime to play in the sand and swim (a little) in the freezing cold Lake Michigan. Aunt Laura, Samantha, Luke, and Paige came with us too.
Sandcastles galore.
Hazel just plopped down and decided to sun bathe for a few.
Saying goodbye to Craig. She just didn't want to let go of him! It's hard to know what this little girl is thinking most of the time. She's a little random.
