Third Annual Waterfall Hike

The waterfall only runs through June -- just until al the snow has melted off of Mt. Ogden. It's pretty much the only thing we do every year...and this June was so busy that we barely squeezed it in!
Ready to hike.

The first half is dry and exposed; it makes for a hot hike.
Then, the trail dives into the woods, where the runoff stream and shade make it a very delightful hike!

Water break!

Look at that cute dirty face.

And we made it to the waterfall!

...and had a little lunch.

The hike down is always worse than the hike up. Steep rockslides and tired little legs are a tough combination!
But we made it! Yee-haw! The girls can proudly say they hiked the entire thing by themselves.
(Doesn't Jason look enthused?)

I am so impressed with your little girls! (And not bad for a pregnant lady either.) I hiked that for the first time last October. . . didn't think about how much bigger the waterfall would be now.

What a great tradition!
