Berkley turned
FIVE. I cannot believe I have a five-year-old.
Grandma and Grandpa "with the stairs" came out to celebrate with us (and watch the girls for the weekend.)
Here's a walk-through the
fabulously busy day, with every detail included.
oh, and yes, for those of you who are confused, Berkley's birthday IS on the 25th...we just pretended the 25th was on the 23rd this year...(since Jason and I were both gone on the 25th!
Shhh...don't tell Berkley...)
Ready for the day.

Berkley chose to have her birthday breakfast at Karen's Cafe in Ogden. She loves her breakfast foods!

YUM.

There's grandma and grandpa
Then we had a wonderful birthday bike ride through BEUS PARK, one of our fave hangouts.

Looking at the ducks (we forgot to bring bread to feed them.)

Time for some lunch.

zucchini bread, strawberries, and avocado salad. we likey.
And for the afternoon: Slip-n-Slide!

Berkley's a pro at this now....
Charlotte, not so much.
Hi Grandpa.

Hi Grandma.
Berkley's birthday dinner: homemade pizza and salad.

rub-a-dub-dub.
And, of course, it's finally time for presents and cake.

A ladybug ensemble

A swim coverup from G&G

cool shades

And her favorite item: a real digital (kid) camera!

We may have a photographer on our hands...
Happy Birthday to you, Berkley!

She chose to have sour cream coffee cake as her birthday cake. How funny is that!

And we ended the day with a bike ride, pajama style.
She makes it all the way around the block without help, hills and all. Not too bad for a girl who doesn't think she's supposed to sweat. :)
I think she had a very fun fifth birthday, even if it was on the 23rd instead of the 25th!
We love our bug!
