To Florida We Go

After an almost 20 hour drive (we hit traffic several times on the way down), we made it to Sebastian, Florida the day after Christmas, well, technically, it was the 27th already.
And we all know what the 27th is...
Happy 40th to the birthday boy!

Celebrating his big day with a birthday dinner at Squid Lips and some homemade apple pie (hauled down from Missouri.)

The girls spent a lot of time in the pool!

And look who collected on her last Christmas present: ears pierced for the little nut! No tears!

Uncle Danny took a break from fishing to take us out in the boat.

 We saw dolphins!
And explored a (very) little island.

 Back to the pool

And into Magic Kingdom for one day!  Unfortunately, the rain did not keep the people away. It was about the second busiest day of the year there.  Made for some long lines and long lessons in patience.

And even though we saw very few princesses and couldn't go on the *big* rides (because the lines were so long), I think the girls had fun!

We finally found Vero beach our last day there!  It was a rainy day, but a beautiful beach.

The drive home was much more manageable at 16 hours.  But it was COLD back in Missouri!
