A Birthday Sandwich

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my little Hazelnut!
August 31st

Pretty excited for her big day...and Rapuzel...
and chocolate chip pancakes.

Cuties
She sure loves that Ariel.
And as her birthday was on a Saturday, we spent a little time at the pool!
But this is what she really couldn't wait for: her chocolate cake! She requested a Rapunzel cake...I think sticking a Rapunzel polly pocket on the top totally counts.
Celebrating with the Roulands and the Garretts.

Happy birthday, little nut!

LABOR DAY
Hanging out at Grant's Farm

Feeding some goats...riding a tram...drinking some free beer.

Evening bikeride/playtime at Laurel Park. Geesh, we actually packed a lot into this day.

And Hazel learned to ride a bike. Just not uphill yet. Or downhill.

First Cross Country meet of the year!
At Lutheran High St. Charles

Oh, shoot, look who is the coach.

Charlotte had a great race...

...coming in third.

And Berkley had a great race as well.

She stayed strong and focused and SPRINTED the END! This is ground-breaking! Yeehaw!

Just look at this sprint!

And 6 days after Hazel's, birthday #2 is here! Charlotte turns SEVEN.
And, no, those aren't oreos for breakfast.  Although sweet Norwegian waffles aren't much healthier!

Charlotte is the only one in our family to have her birthday fall on a school day.
It makes for a very busy day, but luckily for her, this year it fell on a FRIDAY! Woo-hoo!

Instead of a party, Charlotte wanted to have 2 or 3 friends over for a sleepover/spa night.

Mom and Berkley were kept very busy.

Even Hazel got in on the action.

{Hailey, Sydney, Charlotte, and Adianna}

Sydney was the only one brave enough to try to sleepover, but, alas, it wasn't meant to be! She was begging for home by 10:30.  Still a very fun time.

And, phew! Birthday season is over in this house!
