The last swim meet of the summer. Fast season this year!
Berkley's butterfly and Charlotte's backstroke.
And one hot little cheerleader.
Jason and I were spoiled by some friends. As an anniversary gift, they gave us a dinner to a very special restaurant in town. It was amazing. Chef preparation from foods grown on his farm down the road...amazing. 7 courses. Did I mention it was amazing?
I actually did take pictures of all the courses, but figured you'd all think I was weird if I posted them.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BERKLEY!
It's fine to be nine!
What's for her birthday breakfast? of course, Norwegian waffles!
We discovered a new park in town with some cool features.
You couldn't get Hazel off this thing!
Happy birthday, Berkley bug.
Instead of a party, she opted to take her friend Allison to see Mary Poppins at the MUNY, an outdoor theatre in Forest Park. The weather was perfect! I was dreading the sweltering heat of St. Louis, but it was downright pleasant. This summer weather has been the best ever.
Look who's taking swim lessons!
I'm hoping she'll listen to Coach Becca better than she listens to me!
More Hazel...
End of the season medals for participation on the Laurel Park Dolphins swim team.
Medals never cease to be exciting.
Grandma and Grandpa came down for a short visit.
And we went to the zoo, of course. Actually, the summer was so quick, this is the first time we made it there all summer long!
I participated in the Alligator Creek triathlon again this year.
I came in second again, too. It's a very short sprint triathlon.
The swim is only a 300 yd serpentine swim, the bike 18.6 miles, and the run a 5K.
I really need to figure out how to bike a little faster if I ever want to win.
It was fun though!
I've got great fans.
Soon to come: first day of school pics!!! Can you believe it!!
