Lutheran Schools Week

Last week was Lutheran Schools Week.
Each day the kids could dress up according to that day's theme.
The girls live for this week!
MONDAY: PAJAMA DAY.  Charlotte has seriously been talking about pajama day for months...probably ever since she got her American Girl doll with matching PJs.  She was up and ready to go in record time.

TUESDAY: SPIRIT DAY (aka, wear as much red as you can.)
Berkley tries so hard to win this one, hoping each year that her red hair will give her an edge, but each year, someone spray paints their hair red and the win slips through her fingers!

WEDNESDAY: CAREER DAY
Berkley really wants to be an artist, but she JUST covered that in her career project for school, so she opted to dress as her backup: a chef.
Charlotte wants to be a music teacher.  Apparently, she played that recorder ALL morning long at school! Sorry, Mrs. Hoehner! She had said she wanted to be a famous singer, but after I explained to her what it was like to be famous, she thought being a music teacher would be much more fun.

THURSDAY: Freaky-Deaky Day
Do I need to explain?

 FRIDAY: Sunday best
This week also included Grandparents/Special Persons Day.  It was Thursday for the preschoolers and Friday for the grade schoolers.  Since grandparents were unavailable this year, Charlotte brought my good friend Carla as her special person and Berkley brought Mr. Thoelke, the music coordinator at church.
They had a great time!
